My name is Chloë Curran, and I’ve helped cast projects for ABC, NBC, HULU, HBO, FX, & the CW. I’ve learned from the best, a long string of Emmy & Artios award-winning casting directors who lead by example and demonstrate what it truly means to love your job. Starting as an unpaid intern, I worked my way up at some of the top casting offices in Hollywood. After six years, I started noticing a gap in the entertainment industry. 

Gifted emerging filmmakers can’t afford prestigious casting directors, like my bosses. Seasoned associate casting directors rarely connect with filmmakers who aren’t already collaborating with more established casting directors (who also tend to be… Well, our bosses and mentors).

This disconnect is at a crucial point in both groups’ careers We’ve paid our dues and are ready for more responsibility. We need each other but don't know each other. And we're too busy working twelve-hour production days to go on a wild goose chase for our professional soulmates. There should be a solution that doesn’t involve indie filmmakers breaking their tight budget, or up-and-coming casting directors risking biting the (supportive, brilliant) boss hands that feed. A deeper pond to grow in without starving or being eaten.

Hollywood is often a 0 sum game. Chaos Casting is inspired by the wild idea that the next generation of great directors, producers, writers, and casting directors can rise through uplifting each other.

Thus, on a dark night of the soul, Chaos Casting was born. 

I took countless meetings with producers, directors, writers, agents, managers, executives, and casting directors, and distilled them into market research.
